If interested, please note that the flat is very often booked a long time in advance and is also very often used by ourselves, our family and friends.

This newly renovated (Summer 2010) one bedroom apartment in the heart of the Paris sought-after 7th Arrondissement has a very ‘open’ feeling, with wide open ‘blue sky’ views… Just a glance to the side out the windows allows you to look upon the fabulous golden dome of “Les Invalides” (the final resting place of Napoleon and site of a large War Museum) and off in the distance you can even see the famous Montmartre basilica. You can’t miss this at night as it lights up the sky!

This beautiful apartment is on the 4th floor with elevator (which stops at each floor so you have only a few steps down each time) and is 34 m2 in size (about 370 sq feet) and has a queen sized bed (plus a double size sofa bed in the living room; this sofa is the pullout type, yet quite comfortable and is double size for 2 adults).

We have lovingly renovated everything from new floors, to appliances to all furnishings…
Rich decorator colors, together with a modern style, provide a very comfortable and quiet place to return to at the end of each day. This area is very much worth exploring, with the large green expanse in front of your place that runs along a long avenue (i.e. avenue de Breteuil). You also have the Rue Cler area with its permanent open Market only 10 minutes away, plus the Rodin Museum only 5 minute walk. Also, Parc Champs de Mars with the Eiffel Tower is just about a 10 minute walk from the flat.

Even though there are so many interesting things close by to the apartment, exploring the rest of Paris is as easy as stepping out of the apartment and catching #92 bus that goes directly to Ecole Militaire, Champs de Mars, Avenue des Champs Élysées (just 10 minutes by bus). Or the #82 bus going directly to Luxembourg Gardens in the heart of Saint Germain des Prés area in one direction and to the Eiffel Tower in the other. Three different metro and RER stations are really close.

The apartment 'house book' will fill you in on the ‘little known’ avenue de Saxe Farmers Market, which is set up twice per week and is just a few minutes away. It will guide you to great bakeries and restaurants, in fact there is one in your building itself - around the back and no noise - which has a lovely outside terrace with a direct view on the golden dome. More than just a burial place, the Invalides has many attractions to visit: it was built by the 'Sun King' Louis 14th who also built most of Versailles. It has beautiful gardens, a war themed church, plus an incredible museum for most wars France has fought in, set up in chronological order.

The kitchen features oven, stove, microwave, a full size refrigerator/freezer (220 liter total size - about 8ft3) and a couple of barstools to use at a small countertop. There is also a dining table for up to 4 people.

This fine apartment features all new furnishings, with very comfortable beds.
The bathroom is located off the bedroom and has a large shower with sink and a WC.

Here are some guest comments (out of respect for our guests we have not included their names) from our "livre d'or":

- My husband and I came to Paris to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. The apartment is so nice, new, clean and quiet.
We found the location perfect as well. The first night we walked to the Eiffel Tower. The next day, we took "l'Open Tour" and were able to get on 1 block away !! It was great !
We were able to see so much of this great city in a short amount of time.
Thanks for sharing your place with us !!

- I absolutely loved my apartment! It was the perfect size in a great
location. I love to cook, so it was ideal for me to have a fully equipped
kitchen and a wonderful pedestrian market within walking distance.

The location was very good too. I liked being close to the lively St.
Germain district, but being able to come home to a safe and quiet
neighborhood. At the end of a busy day, it felt like a peaceful place to
call "home." I always slept well to, as the bed was quite comfortable!

Overall, I felt this apartment was an outstanding value, and I will
definitely be returning next year. I am in love with Paris, and this is the
perfect location from which to enjoy all the city has to offer.

- Our Paris experience was definitely enhanced by this lovely apartment; nothing was lacking really. We loved the neighbourhood - it was so beautiful and quiet, yet so very close to restaurants, etc. And to be so close to Dome Des Invalides was just wonderful. The apartment is definitely recommended!

- I have rented quite a few apartments in Paris, and this one is definitely one of my favorites. It was perfect. It was clean, nicely appointed and had charm. No complaints and great location for walking. I loved having windows both in the living room and bedroom and both with pleasant views!
